WELL, HELLO!
I’m Jeppe, a graphic + web designer in Aarhus …

I was born in 1971 and have (almost) always been into design, art, music and geeking out …
As a kid/teenager I was a bit of a mess, but I did train as a window dresser.
That’s where I sharpened my eye for design – and for things lining up properly! oh dear, oh dear
Later I worked as a trade-show guy and was in charge of signage.
After a graphic design education at Jensens Bureau, I held titles like DTP operator, marketing assistant, graphic designer, web designer and AD assistant – and in 2005 I came out of the closet as a freelancer.
The real Jeppe K!
Jeppe K has been my nickname since I was a teenager.
Then a champagne-spraying real estate agent with the same name showed up on Danish TV 2 Zulu.
He got the airtime. I had the name.
Search for Jeppe K and you’ll still get a fair bit of him.
Here you get me: Art Director, Webflow nerd and music lover.
I love building in Webflow, and this site is where I play with new ideas and techniques …
This spot is reserved for the next experiment. Got an idea? Drop me a line.
I need different music depending on what I’m working on …
For a while I was a DJ, and music took up a big part of my life.
I’ve never sung a note, but I have designed album covers for vinyl releases – see some examples here.
I still collect vinyl, and love finding exactly the right music for every kind of work.
1996
In 1996 I lost my arm in a traffic accident.
I had to find a new road beep beep, and retrained as a graphic designer.
This little film tells the story better than a lot of words – and it’s kind of cute, too …
Talks
I’m putting the story together as a talk about changing tracks and finding what you’re passionate about. If that sounds interesting, drop me a line.
My one-man studio in Aarhus. From here I geek out on visual identities, graphic design and websites – and I’ve been doing it since 2005.

Art Direction
Art Direction is the idea behind the visuals: the mood, the images, the typography and the common thread that ties it all together.
This is where we figure out how you should feel – not just how you should look. Art Direction stirs emotions and makes people stop and remember you. And it’s the foundation everything else builds on – from logo, website and print to campaigns and photo shoots.
Visual Identity
Visual identity – or CVI (Corporate Visual Identity) – is your face to the world: logo, colours, typefaces and the small details that make you recognisable – with or without your name on it.
It has to fit your business. I always start by understanding who you are and who you’re talking to, and build a visual design from there that lasts. The result can be gathered in a design manual, so everyone – from the intern to the printer – uses it the right way.
Websites
A website is often the first place a customer meets you – and it has to both look right and work. I design and build it myself, so nothing gets lost between sketch and code.
I’m a Webflow Certified Partner and build sites you can edit yourself, without having to call a developer. If it needs to be WordPress, I’ve got that covered too. The result is a fast, polished website that looks like you and can grow with you.
